Lake Joan & Canary Falls

Lake Joan is a most attractive lake, inside Monkman Park, and a short hiking trail leads past Canary Falls to its tranquil shores, where moose and other wildlife are frequently seen.

Hiking / Snowshoeing

The trail to Lake Joan and Canary Falls is moderately strenuous with a few steep sections.  This trail is around 2 km and should take about 1 hour.

It is possible to make your way along the shore and fishing is sometimes good.

Link Hike

Lake Joan and Canary Falls are a part of Monkman Provincial Park and are often planned at the same time as Kinuseo Falls or other destinations in the Monkman Provincial Park area.
